Odoo makes it incredibly easy to leverage subscriptions for upselling recurring products and services, offering additional value to your loyal customers. Remember, upselling is about offering a better version of what they already have, not just something different (like cross-selling).
Here's how to easily upsell within Odoo Subscriptions:
1. Access the Upsell Feature:
- Go to the Subscriptions app.
- Select any subscription that is in progress.

- You'll see an "Upsell" button at the top. Clicking this will automatically generate a new subscription proposal with a discount applied.
2. Add Additional Products/Services:
- In the upsell proposal, you can now offer additional products or services to the customer.
- Odoo automatically applies the same discount to these additional items as the renewed subscription, incentivising the upsell.
"Tip: Focus on recurring products or services offered at a discounted price to maximize the value for the customer and your recurring revenue."

- Confirm the new order. You'll see an "Upselling" tag on the top right side, clearly identifying it as an upsell.
3. Track the Sales Process:
- Use the "Sales" smart button at the top of the subscription to monitor the entire sales process and its different stages.

4. Manage All Upsells:
- As a company, you can easily manage all upsells by navigating to Subscriptions > Upsell.
5. Leverage Reporting for Insights:
- Odoo provides powerful reports to analyse your subscription performance, including:
- Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR)
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Navigate to Subscription app > Reporting to access:
- Retention reports
- MRR Breakdown reports
- MRR Timeline reports
- Use the filters and data selections to gain further insights into your recurring revenue streams.
